Hahn+Kolb uses Heiler Software to optimize its sales processes (VPO)

Stuttgart, December 2, 2005 - Hahn+Kolb chooses the Product Information Management (PIM) solution from Heiler Software to further optimize its sales media. For this purpose, Heiler's PPM Premium Product Manager and the PBC Premium Business Catalog will be integrated into their existing SAP R/3 system. The company, which specializes in marketing and distributing tools and machinery, expects to gain a number of advantages from the new solution: optimized response time to customer enquiries, easier provision and maintenance of product data, more frequent use of electronic catalogs, further sales growth and considerable time savings in order processing, for upstream suppliers as well.

The VPO project and the integrated PIM solution will map the entire production process for Hahn+Kolb's sales media, including online, print, and CD-ROM catalogs, in a single, centrally administered system. In order to simplify the exchange of data with suppliers, Hahn+Kolb also uses the Heiler PSX Premium Supplier Exchange solution.

The PIM solution will be incorporated seamlessly in the SAP system environment via certified standard interfaces. The benefits are particularly evident in order processing: Internal Sales can carry out searches for catalog data directly from the SAP Sales solution, and automatically process the data further for Purchasing.

Hahn+Kolb expects the search time for each order item to be cut by at least 80 percent. In the final phase, more than 100 employees in Purchasing, Product Management, Sales, e-Commerce, Marketing and IT will be using the new application.
