Central data pool for print and online media. Blanco introduces Heiler's PPM Premium Product Manager
Stuttgart, November 23, 2005 - Blanco, one of the leading providers of solutions for kitchen technology, group catering and medical systems, has decided to implement the Heiler Premium Product Manager (PPM). The objective is centralized, media-independent management of product information for printed materials, online offerings and warehouse management systems. The solution, which will be integrated in the existing SAP R/3 system, is intended to simplify the production of printed catalogs and the upkeep of Internet content."Having researched the market thoroughly and conducted our own comparisons of the products available, we selected the Heiler PPM Premium Product Manager as the solution for our catalog and content management needs," said Hans-Dieter Radke, Blanco's Head of Advertising for Kitchen Equipment. "We made our choice on the basis of the tool's ability to be integrated with SAP and because of the expertise, experience and references that the provider demonstrated in the SAP environment."
Blanco intends to use the Heiler solution to achieve a greater degree of automation, thereby speeding up production while cutting design costs. This should also reduce burdensome reworking and maintenance effort. The company expects to realize financial and labor savings particularly in time and money in the areas of pre-press and Internet updating. In the final phase, it is expected that about 50 users in Communications, Product Management and Sales will be working with the Heiler PPM Premium Product Manager. Operational roll-out is planned for six months after the agreement is signed.
