circular unveils a new online shop based on the Heiler PIM system
Stuttgart, November 3rd, 2009. Heiler Software and dmc digital media center GmbH are pleased to welcome circular Informationssysteme GmbH, a systems and consulting company, as their new mutual customer. circular is to unveil a new and extensive B2B online shop based on the e-commerce solution IBM WebSphere Commerce and the Enterprise Product Information Management (PIM) system from Heiler. By having just one central source for all product data, it will be possible to enhance product catalogs in the future and make them available in a special catalog structure within an online shop.
Heiler's partner dmc not only developed this concept, but was also responsible for its design and technical implementation. Especially noteworthy is the fact that dmc, together with Heiler Software AG in Stuttgart, integrated an Enterprise PIM (Product Information Management) system, so that any product data maintained there is now automatically transferred to the shop system on a regular basis. The benefits to circular are as follows: better quality product data and reduced costs thanks to an optimized maintenance process. This system now makes it possible to maintain various manufacturing and supplier catalogs in one central location and transfer them to a standardized structure, thus removing the last remaining obstacle to a planned expansion of the online shop.
Frank Schmidt, Director at Heiler, is pleased to partner with dmc and IBM: "Having seamlessly integrated our Enterprise PIM system with IBM WebSphere Commerce, we now have an extremely interesting product on the market, and dmc is the first implementation partner to put this integrated solution into practice in Germany."
