RAG AG applies Catalog Solution of Heiler Software AG company-wide

Stuttgart, 8. October, 2002 – The marketplace "Ragora" forms the platform for all procurement processes in the RAG group. In order to handle them more efficiently, the international mining and technology group from Essen has decided to apply the catalog solutions of Heiler Software AG.

Besides the actual handling of the procurement processes via "Ragora", the topic content management is a very important issue within the RAG group. In order to control the supplier catalogs involved in this in an optimum way, RAG will not only apply the Premium Business Catalog (PBC) but also the Premium Content Manager (PCM), the catalog management solution of Heiler Software AG.

The marketplace "Ragora" is operated by the RAG associated companies RAG INFORMATIK GmbH. Heiler Software AG realized this project jointly with this IT-service and consulting provider; the RAG INFORMATIK GmbH will also implement the PBC and the PCM. In a first stage of realization ca. 3,000 licensed users get access to approximately 50 supplier catalogs via the new solution.

The Premium Business Catalog of Heiler Software AG is a scalable catalog system that facilitates a direct access to the electronic procurement for the consumers within the company. It is multi-client and multi-supplier capable, and integrates seamlessly with the e-procure-ment solutions of SAP AG, like Business-to-Business Procurement, and Enterprise Buyer, as well as with the marketplaces of Commerce One.

With the Premium Content Manager Heiler Software AG offers the first high-end solution for the management of electronic catalogs, and for the seamless integration with supplier catalogs. It supports the users in controlling the comprehensive processes that have to be run through during the technical preparation, control, approval, and quality assurance.
