Gretsch Unitas GmbH Baubeschläge entrusts Heiler Software AG with the electronic procurement

Stuttgart, 22. September, 2003 – The outsourcing offer of Heiler Software AG yields fruits: Gretsch Unitas GmbH Baubeschläge (www.g-u.de), one of the leading producers of safety door locks, and window and door strike plates, goes for the specialist for electronic procurement systems at the extension of its existing e-procurement system. As of now Heiler operates the electronic catalog system as an external service supplier, and at the same time the company provides the necessary content services for the maintenance of the supplier catalogs. Gretsch Unitas GmbH Baubeschläge wants to save costs and reduce its administration effort with the application services.

For Gretsch Unitas GmbH Baubeschläge, as well as for its entire group of companies, an optimum and cost-conscious procurement is an essential factor of success to stay competitive, and to further extend its position on the market. Requirement for tight procurement processes with a poor maintenance effort is a capable, user-friendly electronic catalog system. Based on the SAP Enterprise Buyer Professional, Gretsch Unitas GmbH Baubeschläge wanted to simplify and optimize its electronic group-wide procurement system. The company made a strike at Heiler Software AG in Stuttgart.

Core of the new procurement solution forms the Premium Business Catalog (PBC) of Heiler. All product information of the suppliers are entered and prepared here. Because Heiler Software AG does not only provide the solution, but also assumes the entire operation of the catalog system as an application service provider, both Gretsch Unitas GmbH Baubeschläge with its national and international sister companies, and the suppliers can concentrate on their tasks.

We profit from shortened order processes with little maintenance effort, and our suppliers can enter the agreed assortments in our electronic procurement system by themselves – however under our control – via the services of Heiler Software AG.
