Heiler and FIS are set to launch an SAP PIM adapter for the wholesale area

Stuttgart, August 21, 2009 - Heiler Software has teamed up with FIS Informationssysteme and Consulting GmbH to provide a new solution for companies running SAP software. It will allow them to seamlessly integrate the Heiler Enterprise Product Information Management solution into SAP ERP and SAP Retail using the "SAP PIM Adapter" from FIS.

Heiler Product Manager is a standard solution for product data management and communication from a central data source. With central Product Information Management (PIM), wholesalers, mail order companies and manufacturers can boost productivity in purchasing, logistics and sales and drive business volumes. The core competence of FIS, an SAP full-service provider, is the planning and implementation of SAP solutions in the area of technical wholesale. Its portfolio also incorporates master data management in the shape of its FIS/mpm solution (Master Data & Price Management).

The "SAP PIM adapter" will allow customers to use Heiler Product Manager as their main system for SAP material master data. The concept is based on a two-dimensional interface, which transfers new or changed material master records from the Heiler system to SAP ERP or SAP Retail systems and returns information about their processing status. Configurable duplicate checks prevent the unnecessary creation of new materials in the system. According to Heiko Rumpl, Head of Product Management at Heiler Software: "The SAP PIM adapter enhances master data in terms of consistency and quality. The solution requires no modifications in the SAP system and it will be enhanced on an ongoing basis by new versions of both products."

The partners will unveil the fruits of their collaboration at the German Wholesale Congress in Berlin on September 16 and 17.
