Deutsche Telekom goes for catalog solutions of Heiler Software AG for its e-procurement
Deutsche Telekom and Heiler Software conclude frame-contract about group-wide application of Heiler catalog solutions.Stuttgart, 25. July, 2002 – The Deutsche Telekom expects high efficiency and quick return on investment of the catalog solutions by Heiler Software AG, which will form the basis for the e-procurement in the whole group. The electronic catalogs, and the catalog-management system by Heiler will be applied both for the own procurement of the Deutschen Telekom, and for the management of digital catalogs in the scope of virtual marketplaces. Moreover T-Systems will also fall back on the Heiler solutions for respective ASP-projects.
Heiler Software AG, one of the leading providers in the sector catalog-management, and the Deutsche Telekom have concluded an agreement, which will be the basis for the e-business projects (e-procurement, marketplace, sellsides) the Telekom group will perform with the catalog solutions of Heiler Software AG. The agreement covers three sectors:
· For the handling of its procurement volume, and for the management of the extremely large catalog contents, the Deutsche Telekom will apply the Premium Business Catalog (PBC) of Heiler Software AG as catalog solution in its e-procurement project "e-Best" – also with its subsidiaries T-Com, T-Online, T-Systems, and T-Mobile. These e-procurement projects will be realized jointly with SAP and CommerceOne, and can seamlessly be connected with PBC. The catalog solution is operated within ASP by T-Systems.
· T-Mart, the virtual marketplace of the Telekom, which provide an Internet- platform for the e-procurement of companies, will also be equipped with the Heiler solutions.
· PBC and PCM are also applied as extensive catalog solutions for e-procurement projects offered by T-Systems as an Application Service Provider (ASP). This enables other companies to let their entire procurement system host by T-Systems.
