Centralized bundling creates a clearer overview

Water filter expert BRITA counts on new software from Heiler to support print media creation

Stuttgart/Taunusstein, June 03, 2008 - BRITA, global leader in the manufacture of water filters, has implemented a new basis for centralized print media management. From now on, the company will use Heiler Media Manager to manage all images, text and print data used for international marketing. The solution is already being employed by 200 users, comprising employees at BRITA's headquarters and subsidiaries, as well as partner agencies.

BRITA uses approximately 1,200 product images, personal and press images, and images for the packaging of filter cartridges, filter jugs and other products in its international marketing activities. These include logos, icons, seals and certificates used in print media.

As Andrea Baermann, who is responsible for PrePress Management at BRITA explains, “It is a challenge to ensure correct product communication and, in particular, correct use of our corporate design in more than 60 sales countries and a large number of subsidiaries”. Just under 200 users currently access the image database and, in the future, PrePress Management at BRITA will collaborate with three external agencies to create print media using Heiler Media Manager.

“Our main reason for choosing Heiler Software was the sophistication of its Media Asset Management solution and the support provided for workflow management. We also wanted a centralized media database for international marketing that would allow us to work simply and efficiently with our various partners and service providers, while preserving our independence”, Baermann concludes.

BRITA is just one of many companies from various industries that have implemented Heiler Media Manager since the launch of the latest version 5.0. Other examples include for example Bene furniture. According to Frank Schmidt, Director at Heiler Software, “Centralized Media Asset Management is becoming increasingly important to manufacturers and distributors for international product communication. If companies are to be successful, it is essential that they avoid siloed applications, and look instead to Media Asset Management, Product Information Management and e-commerce from a single source”.
