Tyco Electronics will gain cost savings in purchase process with Heiler
Detroit. 20th April 2009 - Tyco Electronics, a global provider of engineered electronic components, has selected the Heiler Business Catalog to help manage its supplier catalogs, improve searching functions and achieve cost savings in purchase process.After evaluating the current and future needs of its global procurement function, Tyco Electronics desired a solution that would provide both catalog management capabilities and a multi-supplier catalog for searching, as well as full SAP R3 integration. Tight timeframes for deployment meant that the company it selected must have considerable SAP experience and be certified by SAP as a complementary software provider. “The Heiler solution will help us reduce costs and also free up our purchasing departments to focus on more strategic activities such as supplier selection and negotiation”, says William Hilborn, Global Purchasing Director for Indirect Spend at Tyco Electronics.
Go live is planned for US, Asia and Europe, with 30 suppliers and 300 employees in the international purchasing departments. With about 200 customers running SAP and a long history of partnering with SAP, Heiler was a natural fit. In fact, Heiler has SAP certified integration with SAP applications.
